Types of Appointments:
At this time, I offer both in person and video appointments. In person appointments are limited and only offered on certain days.
If you cannot keep the scheduled appointment, you must notify your therapist directly to cancel or reschedule the appointment within 24 of the scheduled appointment time. Please note, appointments cancelled for any reason within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time will result in a full session fee. This means if you have an appointment for Wednesday at 3:00 pm, notification to cancel the appointment must be given prior to 3:00 pm on Tuesday. Additionally, any missed appointments without notification (no show) will result in a full session fee. If you late cancel or no show more than twice, your therapist may re-evaluate your needs, desires, and motivations for treatment at this time.
Please understand that therapy should be viewed as any other important medical appointment would be viewed. This cancellation policy is important for our counseling practice and our ability to serve you because while a medical doctor can see 35 patients in a day, a therapist generally sees a maximum of 6 to 8 clients a day.
When a session is cancelled without adequate notice, the time slot is unable to be filled by another client. This impacts current clients, clients with clinical emergencies, and those on the wait list. We understand from that some times unforeseen circumstances or unavoidable things come up. The cancellation policy is not to punish you if you cancel late or no show your appointment.
You can cancel your appointment by calling, texting, or emailing me. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your video appointment time without notification, it will be treated like a late cancellation. If you are late to your in-person session, only the time that was meant to be available will be available to you. Please contact your therapist directly if you have any questions.
