Compulsive sexual behavior can leave you full of shame and guilt, and the cycle can feel impossible to break. Maybe you have tried to stop on your own or tried other recovery programs. Maybe a partner has found out, or you live with the fear that they will.
We understand how hard it is to step out of that cycle and live a life that feels free, without unhealthy shame and guilt. Shame tends to fuel the very behavior it is attached to, so our work starts without judgment.
Individuals who feel their sexual behavior is out of their control, and couples living with its impact on the relationship. Not every repeating sexual behavior is an addiction; a specialist can help you find the root of the problem.
Recovery starts with an in-depth assessment. Your therapist may also use structured inventories, such as the Sexual Dependence Inventory (SDI) or the Sexual Dependence Media Inventory (SDMI), to help you understand your behavior more fully.
From there your therapist guides you through a step-by-step healing process, as an individual and, where it applies, as a couple, with additional resources to support your recovery.
Our therapists specialize in helping individuals and couples work through the impact of sex addiction and toward meaningful connection. Our team has specialized training across several disciplines to treat compulsive sexual behavior.
Healing is not easy. At times it can feel like pushing a boulder up a mountain. With the right help and step-by-step guidance, what feels insurmountable can become something you can work through.
A therapist on the Waitlist isn't taking new clients right now. You can still choose them in your consultation request.

Screening tools such as the Sex Addiction Screening Test (SAST), developed by Dr. Patrick Carnes, show how your answers compare with people who identify as sex addicts. It is not a diagnosis, but it can be a useful first step. In therapy you can take more in-depth inventories.
No. That is why it helps to work with a specialist who can identify what is driving the behavior and how to address it.
Yes. Partners often fall through the cracks of the recovery process, and discovery can bring on betrayal trauma. We offer specialized support for partners.
