Trauma Therapy

Trauma can have lasting effects on your mental, physical and emotional health. Painful experiences can leave behind beliefs and emotions that get in the way of daily life long after the event itself.

Trauma therapy helps you process those experiences in a safe, supportive setting, so you can feel more in control of your emotions and your life.

Who it's for

Anyone living with the effects of a traumatic experience, whether recent or in the past. You may feel on edge, find it hard to trust, or notice that past experiences affect your relationships and daily life. This includes betrayal trauma after infidelity or discovering a partner's compulsive sexual behavior, which often comes up in our relationship work.

Common concerns

  • Flashbacks and nightmares
  • Feeling constantly on alert
  • Stress and anxiety in daily life
  • Difficulty trusting others
  • Trouble setting or keeping boundaries
  • Negative beliefs about yourself
  • Trauma affecting your relationships

What to expect

Traumatic experiences can get "stuck", creating negative beliefs and emotions that interfere with daily life. Trauma therapy helps you process those memories and fit them into a more adaptive story.

We begin by creating a safe and supportive setting for you to process your experiences.

How we work

We tailor therapy to your needs, choosing the approaches that best fit your experiences, goals, and readiness. Together, we work at a pace that feels manageable for you.

Along the way, we help you build skills for managing stress and anxiety, develop healthier relationships and boundaries, and work through beliefs about yourself shaped by trauma. The focus is on helping you feel safer, more connected, and more confident in yourself.
